According to Macromedia in July of 2002, over 436 million Internet users now use Macromedia Flash Player to seamlessly view content created with Macromedia Flash, the solution for developing rich Internet content and applications. According to the Direct Marketing Association's "Economic Impact U.S. Direct Marketing Today Executive Summary", sales revenue that results from interactive media expenditures is expected to reach $136.4 billion in 2005. Both business to business (B2B) and consumer sales (B2C) are expected to grow at similar rates through 2005 - B-to-B at 40.6 percent per year (forecast to reach $85.5 billion) and consumer (B to C) at 42.6 percent per year (forecast to reach $50.9 billion). Two thirds of US companies report increased sales in 2001 as a result of using email marketing.
